Last Border Run

Our day started out early, as usual, and was filled with fun times and laughs.

Everyone fell asleep on the ride up, except for me.
Kelsey, Jake, and I all had to cross into Burma to get our visas stamped.
Burma merges into Thailand
Immigration brings smiles to our faces...

After getting our visas in order we posed for shots at the "most northern point of Thailand."  We even made the guards day by asking him to be in our picture!

207 steps from bottom to top...hot, humid, and tiring...
we made it and we don't even look all that "shiny."  Burma is behind us.

We managed to climb another 100 stairs up this tower that over looks the city of Mai Sai and the Burma town on the other side.

Golden Triangle: the break down for you of where it is

In case you didn't get that...

A nice clear day to go out on the water...

I almost fell while taking this picture
Please notice the clouds rolling in...

The storm is a-coming!

Ready for the ride back...much dryer this time!

Before our ride back to Chiang Mai we stopped by the White Temple.  It was under construction so we didn't get all the pictures that we wanted but at least the others did get to see it.
