Muay Thai Boxing

We all headed to this restuarant none of us had been to before. It is a BBQ thai style, place. You pick what type of meat you like (all raw) and then they have this little grill thing in front of you at the table. So we cook our own food. It was a experience. Then we tried to kill time before we left for the boxing.


This is where you picked out the raw meat.


And here is where we cooked it. Like a friend of mine said, you cook the meat on hubcap...looks like it!

So, tonight I had the great opportunity to go watch several matches of muay thai boxing. I recently meet Thai (his name) two weeks ago and he is here in Thailand training and fighting in smaller matches. I was so excited when I heard he fought cuz I have been wanting to go to a fight since I have been here.

....but we had to sit through a bunch of other fights before his....the last one for the night, but by far the best fight of the time!!

The only times I have talked to him he is really soft spoken and kind. Man, in the ring he is a whole other person. He fought so well. There was a group of us that went to support him. He ended up completely knocking the guy out in the second round. Kelly, my roommate, has designed some shirts for us and we are going to get them printed off so that come his next game we will be fully representing him. It is really exciting to watch but more exciting when you actually know the person in the ring.
