Holly, Krista, and I went down south on a small road trip to see the old capital of Thailand. It was a blast and only wish I could have seen this place when it was in it's height!
Everyone fell asleep on the ride up, except for me.
Kelsey, Jake, and I all had to cross into Burma to get our visas stamped.
Burma merges into Thailand
Immigration brings smiles to our faces...
After getting our visas in order we posed for shots at the "most northern point of Thailand." We even made the guards day by asking him to be in our picture!
207 steps from bottom to top...hot, humid, and tiring...
we made it and we don't even look all that "shiny." Burma is behind us.
We managed to climb another 100 stairs up this tower that over looks the city of Mai Sai and the Burma town on the other side.

Ready for the ride back...much dryer this time!
Before our ride back to Chiang Mai we stopped by the White Temple. It was under construction so we didn't get all the pictures that we wanted but at least the others did get to see it.
Currently living in Thailand working at Grace International School. I am having a blast here although I do miss my friends and family. I hope this site will allow you to get a glimps into my world.
