Last Border Run

Our day started out early, as usual, and was filled with fun times and laughs.

Everyone fell asleep on the ride up, except for me.
Kelsey, Jake, and I all had to cross into Burma to get our visas stamped.
Burma merges into Thailand
Immigration brings smiles to our faces...

After getting our visas in order we posed for shots at the "most northern point of Thailand."  We even made the guards day by asking him to be in our picture!

207 steps from bottom to top...hot, humid, and tiring...
we made it and we don't even look all that "shiny."  Burma is behind us.

We managed to climb another 100 stairs up this tower that over looks the city of Mai Sai and the Burma town on the other side.

Golden Triangle: the break down for you of where it is

In case you didn't get that...

A nice clear day to go out on the water...

I almost fell while taking this picture
Please notice the clouds rolling in...

The storm is a-coming!

Ready for the ride back...much dryer this time!

Before our ride back to Chiang Mai we stopped by the White Temple.  It was under construction so we didn't get all the pictures that we wanted but at least the others did get to see it.

Krabi and Phi Phi Islands

Two weeks off of work!  Krista and I decided to have a four day vacation on the beach.  So we headed down south to Krabi for a day and a half and two days in Phi Phi.  It was amazing, beautiful, relaxing, and best of all I got a great tan!  Don't worry, I used sun screen this time.  I learned my lesson from last year.

Nasty airplane food!!!

2 hour ferry ride from Krabi to Phi Phi

The wicked stair case we had to climb

So tired from our trudge down the beach with our suitcase then up steps that were way too steep.

The view from our restaurant

Couldn't get better than this

Krista and I floated about in the ocean for an hour or so about 200 yards off shore

                Phi Phi Island

We scored with seats in the front of the boat

Bye Bye Krabi
